New Site opens at 121 Humber Blvd - October 16 2006

Our new site officially opened on October 16th 2006 with a barbecue and registration day. Many local families, residents and community members turned out to welcome St. Alban's to the neighbourhood, to meet the program staff, to sign their children up for the after school program and to participate in the barbecue and celebration. All in all, the day was a great success - everyone had fun and met lots of new people.

The new site is called Boys and Girls Club of Weston - Mount Dennis. It is located at 121 Humber Boulevard in the Jane and Weston - Mount Dennis community.
After the successful model established when we opened our second site at Jane and Finch in 1999, we knew that we could offer more programs to the children and youth of Toronto.

After a great deal of research and consultation with the United Way and the City of Toronto, the location at 121 Humber was selected.
The United Way pointed out Weston - Mount Dennis as one of the 13 high needs communities within the City of Toronto. 
Programs currently offered at the new Club: Homework Club, Mentoring, Reading Assistance, Arts and Crafts, Cooking, Indoor/Outdoor physical activities and much more.We will soon be hiring staff to assist in programming for children with special needs. We have plans to open a second site within the same community by 2007.
