BGC Youth Meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
Two of our Club youth – Fahd Alhattab (Ontario PYC member; BGC of Ottawa) and Taylah Harris-Mungo (Ontario NYC rep; St. Alban’s BGC) had a very memorable start to their Canada Day weekend.
Fahd and Taylah attended the Youth BBQ hosted by the Governor General in honor of The Duke of Duchess of Cambridge (otherwise known as Prince William and his new wife Kate!) on Thursday, June 30th at Rideau Hall.
The youth said that they had a great time and were able to meet and make connections with youth from other national organizations as well as have the opportunity to ‘chat’ with the VIPs in attendance. Both the Governor General and Prime Minister were familiar with the work of BGCC and spent time discussing Fahd and Taylah’s involvement with the movement.
Congratulations to Fahd and Taylah for being selected for such an amazing opportunity and a huge congratulations go out to the Ottawa and St. Alban’s Clubs for helping to shape 2 such incredible youth. Thank you also to BGC of Ottawa for helping with travel arrangements for Taylah and Fahd.
