The St. Alban’s Scoop

The lifeguards and instructors will be swimming for 24 hours to raise money for aquatic program equipment  and  youth programs at St. Alban’s!  We will be starting at 5pm on March 19^th and finishing at 5pm on March 20^th.

We need your help!

SPONSORS - To make this a successful fundraiser we will need sponsors for our swimmers. Tax receipts are available for all donations!

LAP COUNTERS - Bring the whole family and help us to keep track of our individual and team goals – at least 600 lengths per swimmer to commemorate St. Alban’s 60^th anniversary. That is about 45 km per team and 135 km in total! The hours can be used towards high school volunteer hours.

CHEERLEADERS – Please feel free to drop by any time during our 24-hour swim to cheer us on! We will need words of encouragement along the way!

Spring Aquatic Registration

We have a very exciting summer program planned. Kids of all ages, with any variety of interests, are sure to find something to keep them busy in our camp programs.  Our summer day camp, for ages 6-12, includes a variety camp, a sports camp, and specialty camps such as Girls on the Move, Photography, Drama, Aquatic, Dance, Music, DigiCamp, Kick Push SK8 Skateboarding, and Extreme Sports. 

The Adventure Leadership Camp and Counsellor in Training programs offer youth ages 13-16 challenging and rewarding experiences throughout the summer.  Participants in both programs will have the opportunity to participate in team building activities, fundraising preparation and execution, day trips, club sleepovers, camping trips and much more.

St. Alban’s turns 60 years old this year!  There will be an exciting celebration event at the Club on November 14th.  If you know any alumni of the Club, please have them contact us so we can keep them up to date about anniversary events.

New Program—Drama Teens!

Have you ever thought about volunteering at one of our Clubs?   Many of our adult and youth volunteers have had rewarding and fulfilling experiences by contributing their time and skills to our child, youth, and adult programs.  We need volunteers at our main location on Palmerston and also our satellite Clubs in the Jane-Finch and Weston-Mount Dennis areas.  If you are interested in volunteering please contact us today.

Volunteer at a Boys and Girls Club in your community

Drama Teens! is a new theatre program being offered at St. Alban’s. Emphasis in class will be on each participant finding his/her own voice, fostering respect and compassion, improving social skills, celebrating diversity while embracing individuality, encouraging collaboration, boosting confidence and most of all - having fun. This program will run between 6 and 8pm on Thursdays and is open to youth 12 and up.

St. Albans is now recruiting new members to become part of our Youth Council.  Earn valuable leadership, organizational, fundraising skills as well as meet new friends and obtain your community service hours.
