Street Jam 2007 A great success!

On Saturday June 9, 2007, St. Alban's put on our 3rd Annual Street Jam. Many of our staff and youth showed up bright and early to start setting up and to kick off the day with a Community Clean Up.

After that, the festivities began. There was lots to do for families, children, and community members of all ages. The activites included games, face painting, tie dying, a basketball game, a jumping castle, and a ball pit. There were venders with handmade items for sale, as well as entertainment like a DJ, dancers from the Jane and Finch dance project as well as a fire artist. One of the most popular stations was the dunk tank - everyone had lots of fun dunking staff, volunteers and children. The Toronto Raptor mascot made an appearance, and even he took a turn at dunking some of the children!

The day could not have been carried out without the staff and youth members who volunteered for the day, and the efforts of George and Dean who organized the event.
