Specialty and Elite Programs

AquaTender—Promoting Bone Health
A unique Aqua Fitness based program designed specifically for those individuals with bone and joint concerns, including osteoporosis, osteopaedia, arthritis, knee and hip replacements. All exercises are indicative of the limits of these conditions and participants will receive a well-balanced, safe, gentle work-out without compromising their health conditions.
Must be comfortable standing in waist-deep water. Weekly drop-in format.

Competitive Swimming
The St. Alban’s Cyclones’ Swim Team is designed for participants at Swim Kids 4 and upwards to age 17. All swimmers must be comfortable in deep water and able to swim at least 4 lengths of the pool continuously. Trained coaches will take participants through the art of competitive swim strokes, flip turns, drills and endurance building. An excellent complement to regular lessons.

Synchronized Swimming
The Synchronized Swim Team is for participants aged 5-16 years. Swimmers should be comfortable in deep water and be able to swim at least 2 lengths of the pool continuously. As members of Synchro Ontario, we will be attending 2 Synchro Ontario figures meets during the year and design routines for an end of year show.

Water Polo
Water Polo is a fun water sport that is rapidly growing in popularity—great for kids looking for a new water activity or an excellent complement to regular lessons. This program is designed for participants at Swim Kids 4 and upwards to age 17. The water polo team will develop skills like passing, dribbling, shooting, eggbeater and participating in full games.
  
Adult Swim Basics
Adult Swim Basics is a beginner swim class for adults that focuses on developing comfort in the water through basic flotation, gliding, movement and breathing skills for shallow and deep water.

Adult Swim Intermediate and Advanced
Adult Swim Strokes is a class for intermediate and advanced swimmers who would like to work on stroke improvement. The class moves at the pace of the swimmers and focuses on what they would like to learn, including but not limited to: swim mechanics, technique, competitive and endurance training.
