Help us build the Arts & Crafts room of our dreams!

We are giving kids the space – so they can create their dreams!

We are planning a $50,000 renovation to our arts and crafts room at St. Alban’s.  We need $35,000 to reach our goal!
Planned improvements include:

  • Adjustable chairs and tables to accommodate preschoolers to young adults.
  • Built in shelving – safer and cleaner
  • Drying racks – to protect and store works of art
  • Stainless steel sink – for washing paint brushes and hands
  • Improved lighting, open ceiling.
  • Sewing machine and glue gun stations
  • Inspiration walls to allow creative collaboration
  • Supplies – easels, paint brushes, glue, glitter, paint trays, clay, feathers, markers, crayons, charcoal, pastels, etc….

All the programs and age groups at St. Alban’s use and benefit from our art room and creative arts programs on a regular basis. We know that art provides children with a way to express themselves without words. Art helps children learn to think for themselves, consider multiple points of view and explore possibilities.  Art stimulates and develops the right side of the brain and helps develop the visual aptitude students rely on to learn effectively.  Most importantly, art is fun – playing is learning!

How can you help?
Consider making an online donation to the project.
We are $35,000 short of our $50,000 goal. Any donation will help us fulfill our vision of an improved arts and crafts room for all our members to enjoy.   A donation of $50 or $100 will go a long way to support our mini-artists as they grow and create!  When you make a donation online though Canada Helps, you will receive a tax receipt – please select the “Arts & Crafts Room Renovation/Power of the Purse” fund.

Thank you from all of us at St. Alban’s!
