Do you want to build a snowman? But wait… there’s no snow!
This winter’s mild weather is a bummer for all of us that like to build snowmen, make snow angles and have a good old snowball fight. So without the snow what is there to do? Plenty! Here are some fun activities to get the family out of the house this winter:
Skating: There are plenty skating rinks all over the city. Sharpen up those skates, hit the rink and show off those skills. One of my favorite rinks is The Natrel® Rink at Harbourfront. With its heated change rooms and the amazing view, it is a must do this winter season!
Free Festivals: Who doesn’t like FREE! The city has so many free activities to do both indoors and outdoors. From free admissions to the ROM to Outdoor Markets like the Evergreen the options are endless. Only questions is how do you choose just one? http://www.blogto.com/sports_play/2014/12/50_things_to_do_with_kids_this_winter_in_toronto/
Walking in a Winter Wonderland: For those of us that love to be outside in the winter magic, take a hike through a Winter Wonderland at Rouge Park. The trails are amazing and the view is even better. Grab the family and go out to take a selfie with the best back drop Mother Nature can offer.
So don’t let the lack of snowmen bum you out. Get the family out and exploring this winter and don’t forget to bundle up!
