H2O Summer Camps 2017

LifeguardsIs your child or youth interested in becoming a future lifeguard? Do they want to wear that red-and-white shirt and patrol the borders of the pool? Then our 3 H2O summer camps are perfect! Our lifeguards-in-training will learn basic first aid and CPR, swim teaching skills and they will have a great time participating in fun water activities!

Participants will also do outdoor activities and go on weekly field trips.

Camp day runs from 9:00am-5:00pm

Cost
$390 per session

Participants Require
Bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, running shoes, sun hat, lots to drink (or water bottle), lunch (garbage-less if possible), snacks.

Membership
2016/17 St. Alban’s membership required—free with camp registration.  Forms are available online or at the front desk.

1. H20 Jr. Basic Lifeguard
1st session: July 17th July – 21st & July 24th  – 28th
2nd session: August 14th -18th & August 21st -25th
Pre requisite: 8-12yrs or Swim Kids 7 and up

Our junior lifeguards in training will learn basic first aid rescues, teaching skills, and will have a great time participating in water activities.  Participants in Jr. Basic Lifeguard will  be awarded either  Rookie, Ranger, Star Patrol or Bronze Star based upon the skills that are completed.

2. H20 Jr. Intermediate Lifeguard
1st session: July 17th July – 21st & July 24th  – 28th
2nd session: August 14th -18th & August 21st -25th
Pre requisite: 10-16 years or completion or Bronze Star

This course teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in four areas:  water rescue, education/judgment, knowledge/skill and fitness.

Participants in Jr. Intermediate Lifeguard will be awarded Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid upon completion.

3. H20 Jr. Advanced Lifeguard
1st session: July 17th 21st & July 24th  – 28th
2nd session: August 14th -18th & August 21st -25th
Pre requisite: 13-16 years or completion of Bronze Medallion

This course is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training including an introduction to safe supervision in an aquatic environment. This program works towards achieving a Bronze Cross/NLS qualification.

Participants in Jr. Advanced Lifeguard will be awarded Bronze Cross upon completion
