Drop-In Programs for Youth


Monday to Friday Programs

Youth Compass | 3-6:00pm
Activities for youth such as homework help, adjusting to high school life, time management, music, movies, activities, arts, sports, recreation, swimming and field trips throughout the city. Throughout the year the participants will plan and participate in Club and community events and learn the importance of volunteering and giving back.

The INC Sound Studio | 2-10:00pm 
The recording studio is a fully functional production and recording studio. Our program gives youth a chance to explore the exciting world of music production first hand. Whether it’s recording your first song, completing your next mixed tape, learning about audio engineering, or making your first beat, youth work alongside one of our experienced engineers to make their goals a reality. Sign up required, space is limited.


Sole Sisters Running Program | 6-7:00pm | Girls ages 12+ | Registered Program | Ending May 12thSole Sisters
Sole Sisters is a program designed to empower teenage girls and their families to embrace a healthy lifestyle by building confidence, developing new skills, and inspiring positive life choices. Be prepared to run in any weather. The girls and mentors will train for a 10k race in the spring!

Skills and Fitness | 7-10:00pm
Skills and Fitness is a dynamic wellness program that demonstrates how eating right, keeping fit and forming positive relationships add up to a healthy lifestyle. The goal of the program is to improve Club members’ knowledge of healthy habits, increase the number of hours per day they participate in physical activities, and strengthen their ability to interact positively with others and engage in positive relationships. Methods from core training programs specifically for basketball and hockey will be incorporated.

DIY Arts Night | Ages 10-14 Only | 6-8pm
Do it yourself fashion, jewelry, homedecor and more!

Youth Council | 6-7:00pm
Bring your voice, experience and leadership and discuss key issues facing young people and the ways St. Alban’s can better serve the youth community. Opportunities for leadership conferences, training and Camp Smitty are only available to members of Youth Council.

Real Talk | 6-8:00pm 
Where young men come together to discuss issues that affect them. A place where their voices will be heard and concerns will be dealt with, as a group or as individuals. Workshops ranging from anti-bullying to conflict resolution to setting future goals will be offered, giving young men the tools to deal with life issues and to help them make positive lifestyle choices. Participants will also engage in club events and fundraisers.


Rogers Raising the Grade (RRTG) | 6-9:00pm | Registered Program
RRTG program helps young youth who are at risk of dropping out of school to explore, set and achieve their academic and career goals. The RRTG program offers academic support, post secondary and career discovery, and opportunities to use technology and quality online resources in Rogers Tech Centres. Throughout the RRTG program, youth will explore the potential interests, careers, and educational opportunities that could be part of their next life stage, whatever that maybe. By the end of the program, participants will choose a post-secondary path and be helped to complete the necessary steps to get started, such as applications for college or university programs and /or financial assistance.

Skateboarding | 7-10:00pm
Skateboarding for all levels inside St. Alban’s gym. Ramps and rails are set up every Tuesday evening with instructions from skateboarding teacher. Helmets are mandatory.  Wrist, elbow and knee pads are recommended.

Dance | Starting May 9th
Do you love to dance? Want to be part of a dynamic dance team? The Alban’s dance team is looking for you! Learn a variety of styles, including jazz, funk and hip hop, and perform at St. Alban’s arts events.


Ball Hockey | 7-10:00pm
Pick up games of ball hockey. Emphasis of fun and skill development.img_0738

Youth Film Class | 6-8pm
March 22nd-June 21st
Learn how to shoot and edit your own short film or promo video from beginning to end. In this class, you’ll learn how to use a camera, tips on how to film content more artistically, and how to edit your footage using iMovie.  Free with membership! Adult Soccer  | 8:30-10:00pm | 18 years +

Recreational Volleyball | 7-8:30pm
This is a recreational volleyball program that encourages skill development and fun for all participants.

Cooking | 6-9:00pm
Youth prepare a full course meal with all the fixings and eat it too! Menu planning, recipe research, preparation duties, complete post-activity clean up and of course….cooking!

Sistahood | 6:30-8:30pm | For Girls in Grade 9 and Up
Sistahood is a social group for high school aged girls to gather and discuss issues that are relevant to their daily lives, as well as topics that they are interested in.


Basketball  | 7-8:30pm
Training, skills, drills, and games.

Alumni Basketball | 8:30-10:00pm | 18 years +
Staff will set up fun pick-up games.
