St. Alban's Boys and Girls Club (legal name: BGC St. Alban's Club) engaged Charters Professional Corporation to rewrite the Club's bylaws in relation to the revised Ontario Corporations Act. The Club's governance committee has reviewed and recommended the new bylaws for approval by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors approved this recommendation on April 16th, 2024. The Board has now called a meeting of the corporate members on May 16th, 2024, at 7:00 p.m . to approve the new bylaws. We would like to inform you that we have now been accepted into the CWELCC system, which supports quality, accessible, affordable, and inclusive early learning in licensed child care settings serving children under the age of six. We are currently awaiting a Service Agreement from the City, once that is signed, we expect to shortly receive the funding from the City. Once the funding is received, we will then reimburse fees paid as of January 1, 2023 according to the agreement (which is (according to the schedule previously provided) a 50% reduction in fees). For more about our decision to opt-in to the program for 2023 and opt-out for 2022, please refer to our post from November 1st .
